Privacy
The short version. If you fill in the contact form we get your name, email address and message, and we use them to reply to you. We do not sell anything to anyone, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we keep enquiries for 24 months unless we end up working together.
Who we are
Rannoch Digital is a trading name of Heslop Digital Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 08632342, registered office 14 London Road, Cirencester GL7 1AE, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described on this page — meaning we decide what is collected and why, and we are accountable for it.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZB911608. For anything to do with your data, email hello@rannochdigital.com.
What we collect, and why

The contact form carries a hidden field and a timing check to catch spam bots. Neither collects anything about you.
We do not ask for special category data, we do not knowingly collect information about children, and there is nothing on this site that profiles you or makes an automated decision about you.
Who else handles it
A small number of suppliers process this information on our behalf, under contract, and only on our instructions:
- IONOS (United Kingdom) — hosts the website and its server logs.
- Google Workspace — delivers and stores the email your enquiry becomes.
- Cloudflare — produces the aggregate visit statistics.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we do not pass it to a third party unless we are legally required to.
Where it is held
Our suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, which are the safeguards UK law provides for exactly this. If you want the detail for a particular supplier, ask and we will tell you.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that go nowhere: 24 months from your last message, then deleted.
- Client correspondence: for the life of the engagement and six years afterwards, which is what our accounting and legal obligations require.
- Server logs: as long as our host retains them, typically a matter of weeks.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or send it on to someone else in a portable form. You can also object to our processing where we are relying on legitimate interests.
Email hello@rannochdigital.com and we will deal with it within one month. There is no charge. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113 — though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Anything significant, and we will tell the people it affects directly.
